Behind the lens
My name is Anthea, born and raised in the Netherlands. It was clear early in my life that I liked taking photos of everything around me. So it came as no surprise when I started with my study photography in Rotterdam. I developed a passion for documentary photography and decided to do my internship in Tanzania. I fell in love with Africa and returned in 2016 to follow the rangers of Big Life Foundation in Kenya for a story.
My focus not only lies on documenting the beauty of this planet, but also on the difficult situation it is in. Using my photography as a tool for creating awareness, aiming to make a change.
